I love the irony. On the night that I intend to enthusiastically blog about ‘project me’ and the future plans as it grows from strength to strength – well isn’t that the night that I have internet trouble, my computer is freezing and wordpress is denying me access.
I’m doing my best to maintain the enthusiasm but the blogging gremlins are out to ruin my fun. Go away gremlins!
So my day took an interesting turn. Continue reading
Friday night I went out and watched an unbelievable production of ‘noises off’ which starred my special friend DarkDippy. We have an fun friendship story to tell because we met through Twitter. He always had silly chirps for my extremely well thought out tweets and the friendship grew from there.
I’m also going to the Jozi book fair tomorrow with Greggie and Madam (I know I’ve got lots to tell you about one of my oldest friend, but that will come in time). Continue reading
Damn my patriotism! Sometimes it’s not all that it’s cut out to be when something runs through your veins and is as much a part of your DNA as the essence of your being.
I’ve had one of those days where I’ve dealt with all the things that run through my veins but frustrate the living daylights out of me. Continue reading
When I started ‘project me’ one of the things that I knew I wanted to start having fun with, become goalless about and change without becoming obsessive, was my weight. In the first post I wrote, over four months ago, I shared a story with you about a very (maybe a little too) honest friend who told me that I looked like a hippopotamus. Continue reading
Walking up on a freezing morning for the second time in a row and I decided that gym wasn’t on the cards. Greggie and I had the last day in the recording studio from about 2pm onwards and I couldn’t also go to gym and cut the day any shorter. Continue reading
Yep, it’s the morning of day 104 and you haven’t read anything about yesterday. I didn’t blog and you’re wondering what eventful evening put on the breaks to ritualistic late night (and attempted early night) update on ‘project me’. It was eventful … as a matter of fact it was so exciting that I’ve woken up knowing I that my little project is huge … it’s life changing …
I did nothing … Continue reading
Don’t you just love my little nephew’s idea of well brushed teeth? I swear, it took him less than 2 seconds to open the tube of toothpaste and empty it’s content. Continue reading
I come from a large family of 3 sisters (two who each have one set of twins), my brother and my mother. Oh – and dare I forget my mom’s parrot, who we have accepted as yet another sibling. A loud and attention seeking one, to say the least.
Missing from the family portrait is my father who passed away in September 2008 after fighting a long battle with emphysema. He was a champ Continue reading
