In honour of such a inspirational day I’m confessing that I snuck out to buy a large serving of ice cream to trade for my customary tea while blogging. Since the life changing introduction of my body to food, it’s been a much healthier relationship that has led the way to ice cream being more a delicious treat than a daily obsession … and holy moly does it taste good.
I know the blog has been filled with nominations and I’ve bombarded you with different forms of charming begging to spread the word and nominate, nominate … but there’s a reason far more deep than even I realised. Continue reading
It’s human nature to focus on the ‘don’t haves’ and I’ve made it my mission this year to be as conscious as possible and realise all that I do have. In 2 days time I will have hit the 200 mark of ‘project me’. 200 days of being conscious and focusing on all that I do have. I can write lists about the gratitude I have for my life and am also bold enough to say how awesome I know I am and the impact that I know I can have on the world. Or do I? Continue reading
I love updating my Facebook status. Don’t really care who reads it or what anyone thinks of me because of them. I just care that there’s a place to splash out a thought, a moment and a reflection of who I am on a daily basis. My Facebook is riddled with friends and family and if I really cared I think I would sensor it a little more. But I’ve learned that being me is so much more fun that pretending to be someone else.
So I lost a day of the ‘project me’ blog and as I realised I tossed a status out there: ‘Lost a day!’ … Continue reading
I used to live alone! I used to wake up on Sunday mornings and roll over for another few hours before dragging myself to the kitchen (naked) and making a cup of tea before falling back into bed for a good few hours. There were Sundays when I never got dressed and never left my bedroom.
Life happened … well actually, dreams happened. Continue reading
While innocently preparing for Greggie’s birthday party, there has definitely been a cloud of gloom, confusion and trepidation that both of us have been feeling about our own personal lives. It’s very seldom that both of us feel flat and apprehensive at the same time and even more unusual that we can’t shake the feeling within a few days. But wait … there’s more … friends all around us have also been feeling more unsettled than usual. A lot are beginning discover issues around their health, their relationships and their life’s choices. It’s never more visible than the Facebook status’s that are all a little more fiery and desperate!
OMG … dare I say that even the tone my usually chilled out blog has an air of … um … well … Continue reading
In a time where I’m trying to focus less on being so goalless about my website rankings and more on being purposeful about the reason why the rankings are important, I’m finding myself surrounded by ranking chaos. Just as I settle my heart about one thing, then another creeps up. This time in the form of Alexa stats. I’m naturally competitive and have had to work very hard this year at not allowing that cloud my purposefully, goalless year. Then don’t throw stats in my way when I’m like 200,000 behind. I strategically planned that I blogged on Friday night in order to free up my bumble bee bizzzzy day on Saturday, but I didn’t think that Sunday would fly away from me too and the next thing it would be Sunday night.
I officially haven’t missed a day considering I did Friday on Friday, now Saturday on Sunday … and tomorrow morning I shall be back on track. Continue reading
The relaunch of my website and new design of logo that is perfectly aligned with the company (Lifeology) image is so close that I can almost taste it. I’ve been very hush, hush about the new blog that I’m launching at the same time and have been very calculating and sneaky in doing so … it’s all part of the ingredients that create success.
So is 28 day aged rump, fettucine, olive oil, garlic, chilli, a whole load of fresh herbs and a cream tub of crumbled feta cheese … no wait … that’s the ingredients used to schmoozle the friend who works for the publishing house. I know the dish is a winner because Continue reading
The saying is very true that it doesn’t rain, but it pours. All of a sudden it seems as though everything is going to launch within the span of a few weeks and Greggie and I find ourselves shuffling urgent things in the to do list into most super urgent, urgent-urgent, urgent and less urgent of all the urgents. Continue reading
