It all begins with me still still not being able to do gym and feeling eeeww for yet again … good morning world and “why me”?
I haven’t had my famous oats since I listened to everyone and took a painkiller … that ate away at the lining of my stomach (she over-dramatises every so slighty)! More plain toast for breakfast … grrrr! “why me”?
I’ve been waiting to chat to my favourite creative guy for the kid’s website and he finally comes onto skype. He admits that he’s resigned and no one would allow him to tell us. I’m pissed off … we sat in a meeting with the team on Friday and I asked for him a few times! … Why can’t people just tell the truth … why must they lie … TO ME!!!! She throws her hands in the air, bursts out crying and yelps, “why me”?
I woke up this morning with so much excitement that Knight would get to us early, finish the work on Greggie’s site and then focus all of his attention on my blog and site for the rest of the day! So, he’ll be a little late! Now he’ll be a little later! Then it’s time to eat without him (that’s a sign of how late it is). Um … now I can’t get hold of him … flop head on table, hope he’s still alive and sign “why, oh why, me”?
Everyone around me is thrilled with the move from vista to windows 7! Except me … of course my microphone doesn’t work, my mouse jumps all over the place, my outlook freezes … and some! She huffs and puffs as she shuts down yet again …. oh bother, “why me?”
My Knight arrives and in my head we’ll still get all Greggie’s work done and mine will be finished too. He doesn’t have to leave until at least 8pm! They make notes! Yep, nothing is actually done on the spot … instead, they just make notes! That means that he’s going to just make notes with me too! She folds her arm with a groan and mumbles, “why me?”
Greggie and Knight are both Gemini … that’s all … “why me?”
Knight wishes himself luck when it’s time for me to start explaining what I need from him. He’s bound to snap at me and pull my brain back into some form of sense, so I try to think in a straight line! Who the hell thinks in an order? My brain doesn’t like this at all and shouts for the logical choas … “why me?”
Something in wordpress doesn’t work and Knight says its easy to fix! Well, in everybody else’s world it is … but never in mine! If a technician is going to be stumped. If it’s not going to be in all the help sites on the net! If it needs complete redoing and diagnosis … it’s going to be for … you guessed … “why me?”

Believe it or not, the over dramatic and humourous way in which I handle the greatest or smallest things that happen in my daily life is one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself. I kid you not that I throw my hands in the air and bellow out “Why me?” I’m famous for it! But the laughter never dies and nothing in my day seems impossible to fix or unbearable to handle … and before I know it, the character within me that acts as though everyone on the planet is picking on her and her alone … well she lightens the mood, makes nothing too serious and plays the perfect game of life!
Then I spoke my special creative guy and he’s missing us already … you never know what the future holds … “Because it’s me!”
Knight made me realise that I think in crazy mind mapping format and after the two Gemini’s had a chat about my mind as if it were not even there, he set me up with mind mapping software and has set my brain free to think is squares, circles and diamonds … anything but straight lines, “Because it’s me!”
Greggie and Knight mocked me and teased me and empathised with each other for having to deal with me! They decided that idiot proof is one thing, but Jodene proof is another! They created fictitious advertising campaigns that state “If Jodene can figure it out …” How rude?
There’s a little line of truth in everything said in jest and it’s refreshing to accept my “technically challenged” or as Knight puts it “challenge the technology” personality! I love that I think something will take one minute to fix, yet the most advanced guru needs a day … I love it “because it’s me!”
My day ended on such a high note and with a chuckle in my heart and a glint in my eye … because after all the mocking was said and done and my two Gemini’s and I settled down to dinner, we did as any crowd of friends do! We whipped out or blackberry’s … and what do you know? This technically challenged girl who buys things because they are pretty and not always practical … where her blackberry so outshone the other two at the table … and that was on downloads speed time alone! Never mind the fact that it’s so perfectly sync’d with facebook and … oh … let me stop bragging!
What’ that I hear you cry, boys? I’m sure you let out a dramatic screech that sounded a whole lot like “why me?” … Tee hee hee!
As far as project me goes …. if so much could have potentially gotten me down, tripped me up and pissed me off and I’m saying I had one of the best days so far, then I’m very certain that I can safely say … it’s officially all about attitude!!!

Sorry, I’ve been a bit snowed under with work!
I think that asking people to be straight with you is forcing them to look who they are. The last thing they want to do is be straight with themselves, so they would rather do anything but go down that road.

Attitude… it certainly is. I’ve often heard people say, “Why me?” When the real question is, “Why not me?” It’s a tough one really, but while it may seem like it from time to time, the universe isn’t really picking on us, it’s just the way it goes.
As for being truthful, I have to beg the same question. “Why can’t you just be straight with me?”
Not that it’s much consolation, but it’s not just you. Seems we’re all asking the same question, “Why me?” Who knows, perhaps some day we might actually get an answer. I’m not holding my breath however.
